This must be what it feels like to be a parent. Every day I get off of work I be excited to see Jethro sitting in the yard. I don’t work on him during the week so much, I just like looking at him lol. I did some research on bro and now it’s not so aggravating working on him. Because I somewhat know what I’m doing now lol. My stupid ass was typing the wrong thing into Google & YouTube. Until I got the vin & looked up the engine and transmission names and then everything popped up.
Jethro really doesn’t need a lot of work. Most of it is just elbow grease or small repairs. I replaced the brake master cylinder because it was leaking. I didn’t need to rebuild the carburetor, just needed to replace the fuel injectors because they were clogged. As of now I’m waiting for a few gaskets & and fuel filters and bro will be running smoothly (hopefully, pls god lol). I need to bleed the brakes but I gotta wait till the new pads come in.
I want to use Jethro for another project I’ve been working on, one that I’ve been pushing off for a hot minute. The only thing was I don’t have any friends in Lancaster to help me do it. R.I.P. I went to this show called “Vintage in the Carolina’s” in Waxhaw which is like 15 minutes from my house and met a bunch of cool people (and potential friends) to help me lol.
I already know what theme I want for the inside of Jethro. The only thing halting that is the garage is still a mess & I don’t have the tools to build what I what. But we I mean me are slowly working on that.
My family wants me to sell Jethro. They said that’s a stupidest thing I could’ve done, but I’m in my 20s so I’m supposed to do stupid shit. Little do they know I am never selling Jethro. We got so much shit planned ,so many places to go, so many people to see that it would wouldn’t make any sense to let Bro go. I will get my family one thing though… Facebook marketplace is a bad influence on me because every time I log on I want to buy whatever I see no damn well I don’t need it lol
I’ve been meaning to post the Vlog from October and record a new one for this month but that probably won’t happen. The October vlog will, not the November vlog. I just don’t like posting stuff I think is boring. Like when I worked on Jethro it was really just figured stuff out. And while I was working I didn’t record so the vlog would’ve been a whole lot of nothing. And I don’t really go out anymore so that doesn’t help lol. But after February there’s gonna be a boat load of content consistently. I promise.
Some days I be dead after work because it is just so tiring working with miserable people bro. I naturally have high optimism, but them mfs just drain it like a vampire. I know I’m not where I wanna be yet in life but I’m working hard and making progress getting there. There’s this one guy at work that said “this company is been fucking me for 16 years” and I replied “why do you stay that long then?”. He got mad at me and stormed off. He doesn’t have any other options, that’s why he stays and complains. I never want to be in that situation.
